This cold wax oil painting medium allows artists to create a variety of textures while also reducing drying time and making oil colours more transparent and matte – it is a translucent, wax-based medium made from natural waxes, white spirits and alkyd resin. Cold wax medium can be mixedwith powdered pigments and can be thinned with turpentine or mineral spirits.
